3 Tips to Improve Your Posture

Are you experiencing back pain? Feeling tired at work? Numbness in your fingers or toes? All of these and MANY more problems could be related to poor posture.

A lot of things can cause you to slouch – overuse of cell phone, being overweight, or just not pushing yourself to SIT UP!

Here are 3 easy tips to help you get your body in line so you can feel better, fresher, and stand up straighter!

  1. Keep Your Chin Up!

If your chin is drooping down, often times your neck, and then the rest of your back will follow, causing your entire body to be slouched in a curve.

So a good thing to keep in mind at all times is to keep your chin level, and your ears in line with your shoulders. If you can focus on this practice, you will find that your neck and back fall in line as well!

2. Don’t Be Afraid To Stand Up

Standing up and walking around regularly throughout the work day is extremely beneficial to good posture.

There is a big trend of standing desks, and these too will be an excellent help for your posture as you will strengthen your core working at your desk from a standing position.

Just take 5 minutes every hour to get up and walk around will greatly improve your posture and make you feel healthier and more productive.

3. Back & Core Exercises Improve Posture!

Taking 10 minutes every morning to do some simple exercises will go a long way toward improving your posture.

Exercise will help you to build up your back’s strength so you are support the weight of your torso evenly.

But it is VERY IMPORTANT that you do not forget to work out your core as well. If you are doing 5 minutes of back exercise, you should even that out with 5 minutes of core exercise.

Over-strengthening your back OR your core can cause an imbalance, which could potentially lead to more bad posture and discomfort!
